A    Quality is from a DVD rip and fansubbed from a group on MIRC thus being the highest quality you can get on a VCD

B+    The source of the capture is from a really clear broadcast, probably as good as it can get from a TV station

B    There's a variety of "B" quality series basically coming from Jem. Above average

B-    Almost the same as "B" quality except I felt that the picture was a little more bland, typically from poor broadcast signal

C    Color is clearly distorted (mainly yellowish) & the picture is smeared, but still watchable. Many old series look like this

D    Really, really crappy quality most likely coming from a poor source and encoded at a very low bitrate. There is not much color and many grainy marks
